Next Generation Licensing : Overview

To simplify the purchase and management of licensing, Next Generation products use a new method of calculating licensed components and a new method of activating a license.

  • Traditional Licensing used a paper document to provide information about licensed components. Next Generation licensing is file based.
  • You simply download a license file from the support site and place it in a directory to activate your product(s).
  • Next Generation licensing is server based so you no longer need to type anything at Clients or remote administrative applications.
  • To simplify even further, you may install your license in the c:\envisionware directory to activate all components that support Next Generation licensing.

License Activation Process

  • Our operations group will convert your traditional license to Next Generation if you complete the form below.
  • You will receive your license within 72 hours of submission.
  • Downloaded components will not activate until you receive information that enables you to access and download your license file.
